01

The brief

Transform real footwear into bold digital content that could move beyond the limits of a conventional product shoot.
02

My role

Photogrammetry, geometry clean-up, procedural effects, look development, lighting, rendering, compositing, colour and motion tests.
03

Outcome

A set of polished 3D visuals and motion experiments built around the product rather than the technique.
01 · Capture

Photogrammetry as a fast production route

I photographed the shoes from multiple angles and reconstructed them in RealityCapture to create detailed geometry and texture. The scans were then refined and prepared in Houdini for effects, animation and rendering.

This approach made it possible to preserve the recognisable shape and material detail of the real product while moving quickly into a flexible CGI workflow.

02 · Effects & motion

Product-focused effects integration

The digital product assets were used for explosion, particle and reveal studies. I developed the effects in Houdini, rendered with Redshift and composited the results in Nuke.

The aim was bold, playful content that felt aligned with Hey Dude’s brand while keeping the shoe readable throughout the effect.

03 · Rendering

Look development and final presentation

I tested different presentation styles, lighting arrangements and render treatments to find the quickest route to a strong result. The work included clean product renders, animated compositions and matching studies between the original product and digital asset.
